We got the official word yesterday that we’ll be flying out sometime between October 18th to October 20th. Since Ross had originally told us to be ready to fly out by the 12th, a lot of us started packing or gathering our things already. Amazon Prime has been my best friend so far. Well, apparently my medical school education courses will continue on a cruise liner! Not the most ideal situation but given our circumstances, there’s not much else available for us. I talked to one of my close friends from school and we reflected back on our year so far and we’ve basically had a pretty shitty year. From repeating first semester, breaking up with our significant other, dealing with Maria, losing weeks of school, and now being educated on a cruise liner. But we have to stay positive right?

Earlier last week I finished our first cardiology block and we are in the middle of our first respiratory block. Ross sets it up where our first blocks for systems is focused on the normal physiology which is in our earlier semesters. I can officially say I’m finally done with 1st semester! The feeling is so great and such a huge accomplishment! I am thrilled to finally tackle and beat one of the most difficult semesters here on the island and am moving forward.
